Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 12 May 2026

Please read these terms carefully before booking a collection. By placing a booking you agree to be bound by these terms. If you have any questions, contact us before booking.

About us

Tide Waste Ltd (“we”, “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales. We hold Environment Agency Waste Carrier Licence CBDU284091 and public liability insurance to £10m. Our registered office is in Bermondsey, London SE1.

Services

We provide waste removal and clearance services including house clearance, man-and-van, builders waste removal, and garden waste collection across Greater London and selected UK postcodes.

All waste collected is processed at licensed waste transfer stations. You will receive a waste transfer note by email confirming lawful disposal.

Booking

A booking is confirmed when we send you a confirmation email with a booking reference number. Until that point, no contract has been formed.

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The collection address and access details are accurate.
  • The waste described is a fair and complete description of what the crew will collect.
  • You have the legal right to dispose of the waste, or have the authority of the person who does.
  • Suitable parking or unloading access is available at the collection address.

If the actual load significantly exceeds the size selected at booking, we reserve the right to adjust the price or decline to collect the excess. We will discuss this with you on the day.

Pricing & payment

All prices are shown inclusive of VAT. Our pricing is all-in: labour, loading, transport, and disposal are included. There are no additional charges unless the load materially differs from what was booked.

Payment is due on completion of the collection, by card. We accept major debit and credit cards. We do not accept cash.

Prices shown online are estimates based on the load size you select. The final price is confirmed once the crew assesses the load on arrival.

Cancellation & rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge up to 2 hours before the start of your collection window. Cancellations made with less than 2 hours' notice may incur a £35 call-out fee to cover crew dispatch costs.

If we are unable to attend for reasons within our control (e.g. crew illness, vehicle breakdown), we will contact you as soon as possible and offer a rescheduled slot at no extra cost, or a full refund if applicable.

Liability

Our liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the price you paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

We take reasonable care when accessing properties, but you should ensure the access route is clear and safe. We are not liable for pre-existing damage or damage caused by items that were not safely accessible.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Prohibited items

We are unable to collect the following items under our waste carrier licence:

  • Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials
  • Clinical or hazardous waste (needles, medical waste, chemical containers)
  • Liquid waste (paint tins with liquid, oils, solvents)
  • Gas cylinders or pressurised containers
  • Explosives, ammunition, or fireworks
  • Animals or animal remains (contact the council for this)

If prohibited items are discovered on arrival, we reserve the right to decline the collection. A call-out fee may apply.

Website use

This website is provided for informational and booking purposes. You agree not to use it in any way that is unlawful or harmful. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the site at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you may also have rights to alternative dispute resolution. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, though we are UK-based and primarily operate under UK law.
